Exodus 13:22 –
And the Lord did not remove the pillar of cloud or pillar of fire from its place in front of the people.
That must have been nice and simple to do each day! The Lord sets and directs you down the path He wants you to follow. Why couldn’t He do that for us today?? Actually in a way He does already. Look at how your life has gone thus far!! Review where you are at today and where you have been prior. Think about all those things that happened to change your life’s direction.
I wonder how different Frost’s poem “The Road Not Taken” would have been if God had the path lit??
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. ”
Sometimes the path is not clear, sometimes the one less traveled is the best choice and sometime not. We all must think of each life decision as if it will change everything in the future. Our choice on how to live, which friends we pick, who we let drive or what we do in our free time all effect the final outcome. Each choice could make a world of difference in the end.
I try to live my life one way so when I look back, will I not regret doing what I did. Being OLD already, I can say I have done this with a “yes, no and don’t know yet”. The key is when you come to a cross road, first pray and fall on the Bible for answers. Be bold and ask God for a pillar to help you. You may not get a pillar, but you will most likely get a nudge.
