Exodus 7:3 –
But I will make Pharaoh’s heart stubborn so I can multiply my miraculous signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.
Now why is God doing this?? Why could God have not softened his heart and just allowed His people free? I think the main reason is to show other nations what could happen if they oppress the Israelites. Also, I think it was to show the Israelites that God is real and here to protect them.
Now the one with many questions asks why has this not been done since?? Some would love to have God speak to us in a burning bush, or have the Chattahoochee split, or have a plague of boils on congress or whatever! We would just love to see any miracle that would help you see that God is real and there for us. At the same time in God’s “time” all this just happened, why does he need to do it again?? He talks to us enough just in little signs and wonders. I wish I kept a log of when this happens to me, it would be crazy.
Hopefully, we can see God already without needing him to talk to us in a huge production! Close your eyes and ask God to give you a sign, then be open to see what that sign is. It could just be someone giving you a random word of encouragement or some other strange coincidence. Remember many times coincidence is God’s way of saying “hey” and letting us know He is with us.
