Genesis 1:1 opens the Christian and Jewish Bible (plus semi included
in the Quran):
In the beginning, God created
the heavens and the earth.
As Judeo-Christians we need to understand that verse 1 of
our “Holy” book must be true or the rest of this is really just a story book.
Think about how “science” tends to hammer away at this more than anything else.
Sure there are great discoveries that help mankind, but the idea of a “creator
God” is ludicrous to most in the science community, hence the mocking.
I go in and out of YouTube discussions on the subject of
Evolution verse Creationism all the time and tend to get the “other side”
mocking me rather than answering my questions. That is the thing that makes me
wonder if science has a real foundation on their beliefs or if it’s just a
bunch of circumstantial evidence that could be interpreted two ways.
The “stories” have many sides and the one thing I always
point to is a fossil record that matches Genesis 1 almost perfectly. How did
they get things so close having no foundational clue on how life began?
Having explored suffering (and before in other threads) I
have posed the question did we blow it before and this is another restart of
mankind? Was technology greater in ancient times before God destroyed mankind
and rebooted. Are we just about to “reboot” again? I wonder sometime.
Anyway back to Genesis 1:1, it’s powerful and must be
believed or it brings into question the rest of this book. Now for the science
nerds who say “no way”, think of energy. Energy always was and will be, like
God. Energy created the universe. Why is it so far to believe that there is a conscious
energy, much like that which drives our body, that figured out how to create
life from nothing and did it.
Think about how the only way “nature” has done this since is
with some kind of cause. Did the universe randomly explode into rotating
galaxies making only on that we know of capable of life? Did it also violate
nature even more by creating some galaxies rotating in the opposite direction?
Or do we see repeatable explosions in nature go OUT … not slowing to create
masses of rotating particles in multiple directions, therefore proving God.
As you can see … I am back taunting YouTubers who
profess science;-)
