Then you beg the Lord for help in times of trouble! Do you really expect him to answer? After all the evil you have done, he won’t even look at you!
Chapter 3 is showing the corruption with the leaders of Israel but can be applied to us today. It looks at how they do wrong and justify it one way or another. We all do this … “they won’t notice it missing” … “they have a ton already” … “it’s only” … which one did you use today?
The point of verse 4 is to show us that we ignore God when things are good … when we are winning the races, making money, having fun … we tend to forget to give thanks and praises. But when we are hurt, broke, tired or in fear, we always will hit our knees and BEG for mercy.
Always pray … 1 Thessalonians 5:17 says “pray without ceasing” (NKJV) … or be mindful and talk with God ALWAYS. Also, always read your bible … it’s a great book;-)
