Malachi 3:16 –
“For I hate divorce!” says the Lord, the God of Israel. “To divorce your wife is to overwhelm her with cruelty,” says the Lord of Heaven ’s Armies. “So guard your heart; do not be unfaithful to your wife.”
This day and age it’s expected to have a few trial runs before your soul mate is found … God never intended this and really does not seem to like it either based on this passage;) Choosing a spouse is a serious matter, you don’t just cast lots and pick. Marriages is not all fun and games, it takes work and love.
So ask yourself, is this person someone I can live with for the rest of my life? When they get fat, or poor, or something changes you don’t like … welcome to life!! We are not in control of it … just in charge;-)
Malachi 2 also had confirmation from yesterday thought about “Father God” … verse 10:
Are we not all children of the same Father? Are we not all created by the same God? Then why do we betray each other, violating the covenant of our ancestors?“
You think you can sneak something by your dad … and when I find out, you know how mad I get … imagine a God who knows everything and you cannot sneak from … grace and love will not stop CORRECTION!! If you think God does not get angry … read Genesis!!
Proverbs 13:1 –
"A wise child accepts a parent’s discipline; a mocker refuses to listen to correction.”
Crazy thing is I wrote this “thought” and then just “opened the bible” to Proverbs and read this verse FIRST … coincidence or is someone helping me out;-) … a friend once said coincidence is Gods way of talking to us!!
