Dear children, keep away from anything that might take God’s place in your hearts.
This speaks to me on so many levels. I have seen it happen more than once with me, I have put motorcycling in front, partying in front, money in front … self in front. You can’t realize how much this means until you have wandered away and come back. Jesus will always accept you back, but again what did you miss?? What blessings did you miss because you were too focused on “ME” and less on HIM??
Many times the blessing may be what consumes you! If you put it in second place and not first, you will help grow the kingdom … Trey Canard***?!?!?!
This is easier said than done … but all we can do is try and keep faithful.
Pray, read, worship and pray … it’s simple when you look at it. But difficult when you practice it;-)

*** Trey is in his first year as a pro motocrosser. We watched his first race as a professional in the Georgia Dome, where he took first place … and has won every supercross since. He has taken down the Giants in the sport … maybe his nickname should be David!! Each interview he FIRST places all glory to God!! Is he consumed with motorcycles or is God using him to reach this group?
