Pray Pray Pray

James 5:16 –

Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

Pray … pray … pray … It is so easy. Or is it? As I have said before, don’t expect God to grant your every request. But sing praises even when He doesn’t. God knows the Big Picture. To us that “picture” is TODAY. But that is not God’s timing. If we look, we can see the power of prayer in our lives. How many times have you prayed – and you have seen something happen? I have personally seen this more than once, even this week. It is often very subtle. Oh, the Mega Millions has not been won – but would that really help as much as I think that it would?

Also, one must have faith that their prayers ARE heard. The Bible says , “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it.”

The other KEY point to this is “confess your sins to each other. In this way a group can help each other become better spiritually. All have sinned and fall short of God’s highest standards. We do not confess our sins to God so that HE will know our failures. We confess our sins so that WE know what we are doing wrong.

Proverbs 9:7-8 – ”(7) Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return. Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt. (8) So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you. But correct the wise, and they will love you.“

Don’t be a bible thumper .. be a bible doer;-)
