Revisit Job

This is one of my originals,
before the blog … re-blogged.

Job 1:20 – “Job stood
up and tore his robe in grief. Then he shaved his head and fell to the ground
to worship.”

Ok … one may ask why Job??
It’s one the most depressing stories in the bible … God allows Satan to
destroy Jobs life to prove that Job was a faithful man. The first
“test” takes Jobs livestock, farms and children were destroyed. Job
was crushed … and disappointed … but did not blame God.

As I look at this I would
NEVER want to endure what he did to prove my faith. I could not imagine God
allowing Satan the ability to kill his children … that would have made me
question God. I could imagine allowing then go away, but destroy would raise
and eyebrow or more.

I understand showing Jobs
faith and how strong it was … even though there are many questions to
come.  I don’t understand why taking his
children was allowed. I guess when you are God ending our life on earth ends up
being better then maybe I could understand it that way.

Faith will be tested …
hopefully you will never have to endure what Job did to “prove
yourself” to God. Be strong in faith and in your life … don’t worry
about the trials along the way…

Proverbs 30:32 – “If
you have been a fool by being proud or plotting evil, cover your mouth in
shame.”
