Every Breath Sings Praises … Really?

Psalm 150:6 –

Let everything that breathes sing praises to the LORD! Praise the LORD!

As John Wayne once said, “that’ll be the day!” I guess I get sarcastic sometime when I see the world being joyous. Satin was in heaven and got cast out, he was there! The world has so many other distractions from God that it’s hard to imagine every breath singing praises. This and the pressures of life give me this tone this morning.

I have always wondered about heaven and “hanging” with God. I wonder how we can be sure another “insurrection” like when Satin and his followers were cast from heaven will not happen again. Do our souls really just take the love and good stuff, while leaving the bad? Or is heaven just such an unbelievable place that nothing else will matter? I don’t really ponder about that much, because I can’t imagine it so figure why bother trying. Whatever is on the “other side” will be cool.

Oh how I wish everyone would come in unity and sing praises to God. The only way I could see that happening is if He appeared before everyone. Even then I am sure there would be some doubters. Some would dismiss God as “special effects” or magic. The Psalmist in this case may be painting an overly “rosy” picture, but that is the beauty of these short chapters! In Psalms like this, you get a beautiful image of God and His glory!
