Exodus 10:2 –
Then the Lord said to Moses, “… I’ve also done it so you can tell your children and grandchildren about how I made a mockery of the Egyptians and about the signs I displayed among them—and so you will know that I am the Lord.”
Some ask why this has not happened since, but when you think of time as God would view it the last 5000 or so years were just a blink. We don’t need to see this again, it’s well documented and pretty much available to almost everyone on the earth. God would have done better to come in this day of mass communication where the internet could show his wonders to all, instantly. But as you know with the interest, just because you saw it on line doesn’t mean it’s real. People would still try to discredit it as they did then.
We have seen many wonders since, granted no as many which were fully orchestrated by God through a man. The wonders we see can have scientists quickly explain away and I bet even if they had someone telling what was going to happen they could find a “reason” to explain God out of the occurrence. I have heard scientist explain the parting of the Red Sea and how it could have logically happened, so I am sure it would happen for anything. There will always be some who will not submit to God.
So don’t worry, but know they are watching you under a microscope to see when you “fail” and then pounce on that “fail” to claim they are right. Realize the walk is difficult because you MUST live right because people are watching, not just God. This is our “witness” that God is alive and in us. So watch what you do and say among non-believers and even many believers, Paul explains this in 1st Corinthians so you may understand this is not to allow others to stumble or dismiss the salvation in Jesus Christ!
