Why ME!?!?!

Exodus 5:22 –

Then Moses went back to the Lord and protested, “Why have you brought all this trouble on your own people, Lord? Why did you send me?

Why ME?!?!?!

We ask this constantly, about situations we are in, work we are asked to do, things which seem unfair … oh the list is long. Why me?? We all ask it. Why not someone else?? Why does it need to be done? Why is it so hard? It’s not uncommon to ask these questions. Moses the leader of Israel asked them so why not us??

As you will find out or already know, Moses does great things in spite of the temporary pain and discomfort his people go through. We must trust what we are doing is right and have faith that the temporary pain is worth the long term goal. Be it mission trips, witnessing, helping others, fostering … God may make it so you ask “why!” Hopefully these question become less and less as your “faith journey” continues.

If it’s any comfort Jesus asked this same question in Matthew “why have you abandoned me?” Jesus had a direct line to God, yet He still asked “why!” So don’t feel like it’s all about you and you are the only one who has gone through this stuggle. It’s not and never was! They key is to put God first and the “why me’s?” become less and less.
