And Sarah declared, “God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me.
Who ever says God does not like laughter … God likes to laugh and see us laugh. Happy people make happy workers … boy I sound like Karl Marx;-) The “work” is showing people Gods grace and joy. Why would someone want to follow a God who has their people always upset?? I mean really, would you believe in the concept of a loving God from a bunch of angry people?
This is where some people’s interpretation of Christianity goes astray from time to time. We need to understand that it’s not our duty to judge, convict and punish but to love and show grace. I mean think about it, God gave Sarah a baby, like He promised, at a very old age. The laughter was out of pure joy to get to finally hold their baby, which they have been waiting for decades to arrive.
So God wants us to be happy and enjoy life! He knows it gets rough from time to time, but overall have fun and show joy. Do this even when the going gets tough! Sometimes you have to remove yourself from the situation and look at it from the outside … that different perspective should help. I know when I see life going crazy, I need to look at it from another angle. We may get too wrapped up in the here and now, that we miss the overall picture, which will bring us great joy.
