Malachi 1:2 –
“I have always loved you,” says the Lord. But you retort, “Really? How have you loved us?”
How many times have we questioned someone’s love?? What causes this question to be asked? Most of the time it’s because we do not get what we want … we want to assume it’s because of a lack of love. In most, if not all, cases where one who loves you does not grant you your desires is because there is love.
God is not a Gini (or is that Genie;) there to grant us wishes … he is our guide through life, helping us grow along the way. I never understood Gods role in our lives until after May 8, 1991 … things kinda changed for me then and my role in life was different. Not saying that father=God … but I am saying that in a micro sense, what I do for my kids is similar to Gods role with man.
There is a reason we pray to God the Father … not only the father of Jesus, but also the father of humanity. Kinda make him a Grand Father … that would pose the question why does he not spoil us like our grand parents do/did??
