\u00a0Ok we have the Lord\u2019s Pray as given from Jesus in Matthew
\n6:9-13<\/a><\/b> teaching us how to pray. Unfortunately many have learned this and can
\nrecite it without thought. That becomes the problem we need to start to form
\nprayers based on our relationship with God and not others. I am not saying do
\nnot pray the Lord\u2019s Prayer because sometimes that\u2019s all I got, but take it as a
\nmodel and build your prayers from there.<\/p>\n

I have always been a \u201cpray from the heart\u201d person where
\nprayers just happen and for the next \u201cfew\u201d (don\u2019t know if it\u2019s days, weeks,
\nmonths or years) I am going to write prayers and formulate them along the way.
\nThe reason I am doing this is when I go \u201cfrom the heart\u201d I tend to get lost and
\nfocus on the point and that\u2019s it. Like \u201cOh God, save Timmy from the well, in
\nJesus\u2019 name, Amen.\u201d <\/p>\n

Now I do want to be careful here and not become a \u201chypocrite\u201d
\nas discussed in Matthew 6:5<\/a><\/b> from Jesus\u2019 warning:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/sup><\/b>Likewise,
\nwhen you pray, do not be as hypocrites who love to pray loudly at synagogue or
\non street corners\u2014their concern is to be seen by men. They have already earned
\ntheir reward.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

I feel this will help us all build prayers when we look at
\nhow one evolves. So this exercise may stop suddenly if I feel I am getting too
\nwrapped up in my own blog and not connecting with God. I often wonder if my \u201cblogging\u201d
\nis more to show everyone that I have been reading my Bible and not actually
\nstudy, but even if it was I have learned a bunch over the different versions
\nread.<\/p>\n

So the model prayer has 5 basic parts, praise to God,
\nsubmission to God, a petition, confession\/forgiveness and a plea for security.
\nNow I will make an attempt to follow the model in my own words.<\/p>\n

\u201cFather God, you are great and mighty, creating everything
\nfrom nothing and doing it in such a way that even the smartest minds cannot
\nfigure how it was done. You are amazing! <\/i><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

I confess I have fallen short in my dealings with you and
\nhave not laid my trust in you. I have anxiety over financial matters showing my
\nfaith is not in you, forgive me and help me to renew that faith and trust. I
\nknow you are in control of everything and all will work for your glory, even if
\nit\u2019s not exactly as \u201cmy will\u201d.<\/i><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/i><\/p>\n

You will is above all, I know we can delay things with our \u201cstiff
\nnecks\u201d and strong wills, but please softly remind me of how I need to remain
\nfaithful to you. When all is said you are Holy and above me, so I submit to
\nyour plan.<\/i><\/p>\n

Lord, I come before you and ask that today I have peace in
\nthis turmoil and can see your hand in all the chaos. Please bless Adam and his
\nbusiness, help him to find you again and to pull tight. Please give me an
\nopportunity to share the Gospel with Cody today!<\/i><\/p>\n

Lord, I ask you to protect my family as they are spread all
\nover this globe. Help them to know you and to learn to have faith that through
\nall the crud of life you are with them always. Show your glory in their day
\ntoday and protect them from evil. <\/i><\/p>\n

Teach me to love you more! In Jesus\u2019 name I pray, AMEN\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n

I did flip the order and put confession second, but only to \u201copen
