\n20:3<\/a><\/b>, having no other gods before God. But if we look at this from a Jewish perspective
\nthe commandments start with Exodus 20:2<\/a><\/b> which states:<\/p>\n\n

\nwhy was it so important for the first commandment to be more of a statement,
\nthan a \u201cThou shalt not\u201d? <\/p>\n
\neven worshiping other gods. If it was not for our freedom we have a choice to
\nenter into a relationship with Jesus or not. Man\u2019s free will causes most of our
\nproblems today and unfortunately man\u2019s free will is beginning to limit freedom
\nin the USA in modern times. <\/p>\n
\npledge. The Pledge f Allegiance was formally adopted in 1942, yet was written
\nin 1892. Interestingly the words \u201cunder God\u201d we not added until 1952. So while
\nus folk under say 60 somehow believe that was the original wording, it was not.
\nNow does that mean it\u2019s not true? No just look at all the founder\u2019s documents
\nand one can see this was not the case.<\/p>\n
\npointed to as atheists, we can see that they understood the importance of
\nfreedom also. So while they may personally have misgivings about a omnipotent God,
\nthey realized while they were fleeing from religious tyranny that freedom to
\nworship as one chooses is critical for a free society.<\/p>\n
\nGod\u201d and having God removed. The argument is while all the founders we deists,
\nthey were not ALL Christians. But they all realized the importance and perfect
\nlaw derived from the Bible that they used it as a foundation for this nation.
\nIf you don\u2019t believe that read the first 5 books and see how Moses\u2019 writings
\nmatch how our nation is set up.<\/p>\n
\nwere founded UNDER GOD giving each person the \u201cunalienable right\u201d which \u201care
\nendowed by their creator\u201d to follow God or not. And that is 100% Biblical!! The
\nerosion of our freedoms are the most concerning thing I see with this nation
\ntoday and not removing the Ten Commandments from the court house steps!!<\/p>\n
