\n42 \u2013 44<\/p>\n
Verse 42:1 opens my prayers yesterday:<\/p>\n
My soul is dry
\nand<\/i> thirsts for You, True God,
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0as
\na deer thirsts for water.<\/p>\n
I was in one of those funks where I was
\nquestioning everything including my faith. My prayers included a sign of a
\ncardinal, which I heard but never saw. I saw blue jays, robins and even a bird
\nI could not identify but was like a scarlet tanager but inversed. When I read
\nthese Psalms, they stuck to my soul and realized I was not the only one who was
\na believer. I didn\u2019t need to see the cardinal, just wanted to.<\/p>\n
The voice I got was \u201cyou spoiled little brat, I have laid a
\nhuge plan before you and you still want to see a little bird.\u201d <\/p>\n
\nVerse 43:2 caught me and gave me a little voice:<\/p>\n
You are the True
\nGod\u2014my shelter, my protector, the one whom I lean on<\/i>.
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Why
\nhave You turned away from me? Rejected me?<\/i>
\nWhy must I go around, overwrought, mourning,
\n\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0suffering
\nunder the weight of my enemies?<\/p>\n
Oh woe is me, I have life so rough. When in
\nreality my life is going great. Sure I don\u2019t have a job right now, but am being
\nprovided for quite well. The story is long, but it started in 2001 and is still
\nunfolding to this day. It includes layoffs, failed land deals, huge credit card
\ndebt, getting a job, paying off debt, more layoffs, selling a home and another
\nland deal. It has been an emotional roller coaster, but didn\u2019t have to be if my
\nfaith was more solid and I trusted God. <\/p>\n
I think that\u2019s why I am at peace more
\nduring this time. Because even if it doesn\u2019t go as \u201cI\u201d plan, it IS going as HE
\nplanned!! Worry just wastes energy, I need to trust God more.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
