But don\u2019t just listen to God\u2019s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the biggest problems with Christianity is that people seem to think that they can just drop a prayer and let God do the rest.\u00a0 Yes, prayer is a vital part of our “walk”.\u00a0 But it should not just be endless petitions. <\/span>We need to be part of the “doing”.\u00a0 Step out of your comfort zone and do your part.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bible and Jesus are tough to follow.\u00a0 For example many complain about a 10% tithe and think it is only a requirement of the Old Testament.\u00a0 Well Jesus was even more aggressive about giving.\u00a0 He told a parable about a widow who gave her last “mite”.\u00a0 She basically gave all that she had.<\/span><\/p>\n

We are not required to give until it hurts.\u00a0 But we should give willingly, knowing the needs that are being met. <\/span>The widow was blessed for her generosity.\u00a0 God will also honor our efforts.\u00a0 Fear not – I will not be passing the plate now.\u00a0 I know this is often what happens at the end of such a sermon.\u00a0 I just ask that you pray for wisdom on giving – and GIVE.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is more to your participation in the life of your Church.\u00a0 The Bible tells us a bunch of things to do.\u00a0<\/span>DO YOU LISTEN?<\/span><\/p>\n

It is vital to READ you Bible so that YOU will KNOW what it requires of you.\u00a0 And then you can DO.\u00a0 You <\/span>can only get some of the truths you need by sitting in a pew on Sunday morning.\u00a0 You need to Read and Reflect in addition to Listening.\u00a0 Then you will find the TRUTH.<\/span><\/p>\n
