Ok \u2026 why do this? Why spend so much time writing to space? Really in obedience to God and trying to learn as much as I can \u2026 in the process share it with others.<\/p>\n
The ultimate reason is SALVATION for the person who is unresolved about God and is searching for the truth. If you read this with little or no understanding of God, Jesus or the Bible it will be a confusing \u201cfairytale\u201d. So first we must start the base and understand the underlying truth of the Bible that Jesus is real and\u00a0he died so we can be saved to enjoy an eternal relationship with God.<\/p>\n
So what is salvation anyway? It can be summed up in John 3:16 that says \u201cFor God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.\u201d God does offer a free gift of salvation to anyone who believes. This will save you from a eternity of misery.<\/p>\n
Now since most can\u2019t think past next week, salvation for eternity seems distant. Well God works daily in our lives as you will see reading this blog. He is real and living, it\u2019s something that requires faith but as you read and strive to learn more this faith becomes solidified as fact.<\/p>\n
But now what are we being saved from? Our \u201csouls\u201d or \u201cenergy\u201d which drives this \u201cmeat suit\u201d lives on and to live with the pure and holy energy we must be completely clean to God. Problem is we \u201csin\u201d and what is sin? Exodus 20 lays it out in the Ten Commandments. Most think we are good but can we live to God\u2019s standard? Do you put anything before God like money, homes, cars or other things? If so you have other gods. Have you every said something in anger using God\u2019s name? If so you have taken God\u2019s name in vain, strike two. Did you ever tell a lie? If so strike three, and that\u2019s just three of the ten.<\/p>\n
If the standard is so high how can any person live up to it? Well we can\u2019t and that\u2019s where Jesus comes in. He became the one complete sacrifice for our sins. With him we just need to bring our transgressions to him, present them before him in confession and we are made clean before God. Think about it this way, Jesus paid a huge traffic fine for you at no cost to you, you just have to realize you deserved the ticket and what it was for to begin with.<\/p>\n
So how do you become \u201csaved\u201d anyway? The \u201cprocess\u201d to get started is easy \u2026 Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, Believe He did what He said and died for your sins and Confess your own sins to come clean with God.<\/p>\n
